CEREMONIES

Where can I have my ceremony?

On the Deck, in the Lodge or down by the lake depending on weather and lake levels and access.


Does it cost extra for a ceremony?

There is a $350 ceremony fee plus the cost to utilize one of the stress-free packages Christiani’s offers.


What if it rains on my wedding day?

The ceremony will be moved inside and held in front of the beautiful fireplace while guests sit at their tables.  Christiani’s to make final determination of ceremony depending on inclement weather.


What about a wedding rehearsal?

To have access to the Lodge requires a normal rental.  However, if you simply wish to use the deck it is available to the public when the Lodge is not being rented.  Check our Calendar for open availability.


Can I have music or my dance on the deck?

Absolutely! 


Where does the bridal party dress for the ceremony?

The Lodge offers spacious restrooms with full length mirrors along with a changing room just for the bride.


MENUS

Can I make substitutions on the menus?

Yes, however prices may increase.


Can I make my own menu?

Yes, however prices will increase by varying from our menus.


Are there children’s menus?

We do not offer children’s menus, however children 7 and under are 25% off of the dinner menu price.


What happens to any leftover food?

Leftovers can not be given out per order of the state health department.


BEVERAGE SERVICE

Is security required for my event?

Polk County Conservation requires authorized security for any event in which alcohol is served.  Christiani’s handles the scheduling of officers an must be notified 30 days in advance if you plan to have alcohol at your event.


What happens with extra wine that is ordered but not used?

Unopened wine is given to you as you leave to take home with you.


What if I want a specific wine that is not on the beverage list?

Contact Christiani’s to find out it’s availability.  You may also bring in your own wine but it must be served by Christiani’s.  There is a corking fee on any wine brought in.


NON-CATERED EVENTS

What if I want to bring in another caterer?

Christiani’s is the exclusive caterer for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.  Monday-Thursday other licensed caterers may be used with a $100.00 non-catered fee and 15% commission payable to Christiani’s.


What if my event does not require food or beverage?

Non-catered and attendant fees will apply.


What if I want to bring in my own food?

Non-catered and attendant fees will apply.


LODGE SETUP

When is the earliest I can get into the Lodge?

The Lodge is opened to you and your vendors 1 ½ hours prior to your event start time.  Either 8:30am or 4:30pm.


Who handles the setup and teardown of tables and chairs?

For catered events, it is provided by Christiani’s.  For non-catered events, the renter is responsible for both.  Setup and teardown outside of the Lodge (i.e. deck, pavilion, etc.) is extra.


Can I use my own decorator?

Christiani’s is the exclusive decorator of the Lodge unless written consent is given by Christiani’s and a $200.00 fee.


What if I need more setup time?

Renter’s are not allowed to rent back-to-back time slots Friday-Sunday and it is not rented by the hour.
